Justin Dignam is the Founder and CEO of Big Fish Payroll Services. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business, University of Richmond, in 1983. At Richmond he was a four year varsity scholarship athlete as both a swimmer and water polo player. Later, he was the head coach of Wesleyan University’s men’s water polo team.
After Richmond, Justin began a 17+ year career with Automatic Data Processing. He held several sales positions at ADP including: Small Business District Manager (NYC), National Accounts District Manager (CT), National Accounts Manager (CT, VT, MA), and National Accounts Sales Director (CA).
Justin caught the entrepreneurial bug and incorporated Big Fish in 2003. As with all major career changes there were several contributing factors, the most significant was his drive to “control his own destiny.” “I had this morbid fear that I would be 48 years old with a successful sales career and I could be caught in a big company political firestorm,” says Justin. “It was a frightening and devastating scenario, and I had seen it happen to others countless times. I did not want to potentially be on the receiving end.”
Residing in Anaheim Hills, Justin is blessed with his wife, Christine (her company is a Big Fish client) and two children, Taylor and Chandler.
Justin has held numerous Board of Directors positions throughout his career with private, non-profit, and publicly held companies. He is also active on the athletic playing field having coached baseball, soccer, and basketball in Anaheim Hills and Orange. Current hobbies include scuba diving and competing in masters water polo.
