Jeff later went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2013 and was admitted to the California Bar the same year. During law school, his areas of legal interest included Human Rights Law and Corporate Law, for which he obtained a certificate for. One of his proudest accomplishments was having been recognized with a CALI award for his analysis on the U.S. Constitution’s application to various Human Rights issues.
Jeff was born and raised in the small High Desert town of Ridgecrest, California in the Eastern Kern County. In 2004, he moved to Fullerton to continue his studies after completing two years of general education.
In 2005, he responded to an advertisement for an internship with Big Fish Payroll, initially working part-time while he completed his studies. “Big Fish was a great fit for me,” Jeff recalled. “Having come from previous employment in the financial industry, I was really able to hit the ground running in the payroll world.” In a little over a year, Jeff was named Operations Manager, overseeing Customer Service, Payroll Processing, Implementation, and Staffing. He was promoted to his current position of President in August 2013. Says Justin Dignam, Founder & CEO, “Jeff’s promotion to President is one the smartest things I have done in running Big Fish. His attention to detail, the confidence he engenders with the other employees, and his strategic creation of processes to accommodate our growth has been invaluable.”
Today Jeff lives in Los Angeles. In his free time, he loves to take road trips, camp, hike, and spend time with his family back home.
